originally appointed with the right of private practice, I am in some doubt whether he is entitled to the additional 5 years for professional qualifications under Rule 3 (2) of the Pension Minute.
H. D. Ayres informs me that he was anxious to complete 25 years service before retiring on pension, and asks that he may be allowed under Rule 8 of the Pension Minute to receive a pension calculated on 25 years of actual service. The members of the Executive Council are unanimously of opinion that in view of Dr Ayres' long and exceptionally arduous services in the past, this request should be granted, and I beg
